Pug Health & Welfare

As a responsible and caring club we fully support all efforts to continually monitor and improve the health of the breed.

The Health Subcommittee of our Breed Council has worked hard in conjunction with the Kennel Club and other interested parties, to produce a Health Scheme to support the above objectives.

The scheme is aimed primarily at breeders, and pugs must be at least 12 months old to participate.

However, we strongly encourage all our members, and indeed all pug owners/potential owners, to make themselves aware of it.

Thinking of buying a puppy? - ask if the parents are registered with the scheme and, if so, ask to see the paperwork.
